Madison County Sheriff's Office
Farmers & Ranchers Association
Dear Madison County Farmers, Ranchers, and Landowners,
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office is expanding our “Madison County Sheriff’s Office Cattleman’s Association” which has been in existence for many years, and restructuring it to the “Madison County Sheriff’s Office Farmers & Ranchers Association” and we invite all of our farmers, ranchers, and landowners to be a part of this association.
Our goal is, and has been, for law enforcement, farmers and ranchers to build a stronger cooperation in protecting our land, equipment, and crops. Over the past several years we have been very successful in solving cases and apprehending numerous suspects that have been involved with theft, vandalism, and trespassing throughout the County; but there still continues to be people who take advantage of and deprive others of their belongings. We want to make sure Madison County is one of the last places these types of people want to target.
We will be holding several meetings over the next few months while we expand this association, and then we will hold quarterly meetings. We know that this is a very busy time of year and we have set several meetings to try and accommodate everyone. All meetings will be held at the Sheriff’s Office training room on the following dates:
Wednesday, September 19th - 8pm
Thursday, October 11th - 7am
Thursday, October 25th - 8pm
Thursday, November 15th - 7am
The main topics will be:
Teamwork: Working together to help each other.
Every member a Deputy: How can we all “patrol” while doing our everyday work.
Prevention: Signs, video systems, and surveillance equipment and their best uses.
Not Here: How to lessen the odds of being a victim.
After the Fact: Crime scene preservation and equipment identification and marking.
Employees: Background checks and safeguards.
