The Investigations Division of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for conducting criminal investigations within Madison County as well as assignment to the Tri-County Sheriff’s Investigations, Upper Valley Major Crimes Task Force and the Upper Valley Drug Task Force.

The investigations division has six full time detectives and one evidence /crime scene technician.  We are responsible for the investigation of all felony crimes, as well as assisting patrol with misdemeanor investigations.

We work closely using a team approach with all surrounding Law Enforcement jurisdictions as well as State and Federal entities, Health and Welfare and the Family Crisis Center.

Detectives in the investigation division have over 59 years of combined experience as well as over 8300 POST certified training hours.

The Mission of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division

We will promptly investigate all criminal cases which have been assigned to us; or uncovered by us during our course of duty.

We will conduct a complete and accurate investigation based on the facts and circumstances surrounding the case.

We will place the collected facts into a precise and accurate report, leading each case to its ultimate conclusion, which is the apprehension and prosecution of the guilty person, or exonerating the wrongly accused.

We will keep current on points of law, ensuring we uphold the Constitution of Idaho and the United States of America; while protecting the rights of the citizens we have sworn to serve.

We will work as a team to assist any divisions within our office or reporting agency, taking pride in our professionalism, insuring we do our part in helping to see the overall mission of the Sheriff’s Office is fulfilled.
