Too young for the
Explorer Program? Already in the Explorer Program but looking
for a full week of excitement? Looking like a boring summer
for you already? Parents, do you want your kids to learn some
life skills and have some fun during the summer instead of lounging
their time away? If this is the case, sign up for the Madison
County Sheriff's Office annual Summer Youth Camp!
Our Youth Camp #6 is
tentatively scheduled for June 9-13, 2008. This is a five day camp that
typically runs from 0800(8am) - 1700(5pm). The camp is a hands
on camp for all youth 7th -12th grades (as of the 2007/2008 school
year).
Activities for the week
include:

Law Enforcement
facility tours and explanations.

Basic crime scene
investigation.

Self defense/arrest
techniques and physical preparedness
-
SRT (SWAT)
demonstration
-
Firearms safety and
range day
-
Marine patrol and
water rescue
-
First Aid
These are just a few of
the many activities already planned for this year's camp! The
fees for the camp are only $50.00 for the whole week!
This includes T-Shirt's, lunch every day, transportation to off-site
activities, ammunition for firearms safety, etc.
